Karl Price is a career prosecutor with nearly 25 years of service in the Jefferson County Attorney's Office, where he has tried over 500 cases to juries. Throughout his career, he has served in key leadership roles including Chief Arraignment Court Prosecutor, Lead Prosecutor for firearms crimes and Special Assistant Attorney General, prosecuting cases ranging from domestic violence to violent crime. Born and raised in Louisville, Karl is a single father who raised two children in the community he serves. His approach to justice balances accountability with reform, advocating for both public safety and alternatives to incarceration in cases driven by mental health, addiction and poverty.  As County Attorney, Karl is committed to crime prevention, racial and gender equity, and being a strong voice for families, victims, and the most vulnerable members of our community.
